El jueves dia 4 de Diciembre,
hay una invitacion muy especial para los AA del IE junto y un acompañante:
una consumición GRATIS
para los AA y acompañantes desde las 11.30 pm hasta las 1.00 am. A partir de esa hora tan sólo habrá acceso
gratuito para ambos.
Importante:
sera necesario la presentacion del carnet de Antiguo Alumno del IE en la entrada, son validos tanto el
antiguo como el nuevo. No aceptan ropa deportiva.
Santiago Íñiguez de Onzoño travelled to
Lisbon on 11 November 2008 to present IE University to the rectors of leading
Portuguese universities. The event was hosted by the Spanish embassy in
Portugal, and attended by representatives of key Portuguese institutions
resulting in extensive coverage by Portuguese media.The presentation was followed by dinner
in the Real Palacio Hotel with members of the IE alumni club in Portugal,
during which, the Rector explained the main features of the University project
together with IE Business School's new initiatives.
Santiago Íñiguez de Onzoño viajó a
Lisboa el pasado 11 de noviembre de 2008 para presentar IE Universidad a los
rectores de las principales universidades portuguesas. El acto, organizado por la
Embajada de España en Portugal, contó con la participación de representantes de
las instituciones públicas portuguesas y tuvo su reflejo en una amplia
cobertura de entrevistas con los principales medios de comunicación de
Portugal.
Tras la presentación, se celebró un
almuerzo en el Hotel Real Palacio con miembros del Club de Antiguos Alumnos de
Portugal, en la que el Rector explicó las claves del proyecto universitario así
como los nuevos proyectos de IE Business School.
The
sixth IE Alumni BOTM took
place in Shabay, a well-known place for IE alumni. All alumni as well as
professors enjoyed free drinks: one for boys and two for girls; provided on
presenting their IE identification card upon entrance.

We hope
everyone from IE can benefit from the event, month after month, and with that
maintain and continue their network.

e incluso dos (para chicas) presentando el carne en la entrada.

In
September 2008, members of IE Careers Management Centre traveled to India to
meet with companies and headhunters, as a step towards developing the job
market in Asia to seize the growing opportunities in the area for IE graduates.
Maria de Carlos, Maria Fernanda Diaz and Sugata Jain
represented the IE Careers Management Centre in this trip and took forth the
process of building contacts and connections to be able to place Indian as well
as international students with companies based in India, both Indian and global
companies.
The
process started by identifying the need to create connections to seize
recruitment opportunities in the Asian market. Considering that Asian
economies, especially China, India and Singapore are witnessing a significant
growth, several European/global companies want to enter or have already entered
these markets.
With
this objective, they met with about 15 companies including: MCC (MONDRAGÓN CORPORACIÓN COOPERATIVA),
a multi-business organization, planning to expand its operations in India over
the next 15 months; Indian companies like Wipro, HCL Technologies, YatraOnline,
ITC, NDTV and Marico; as well as Multinationals like A.T Kearney, J.P Morgan,
Fidelity and IBM Network Solutions.
The
Careers Management Centre is managing relations with about 30 companies and
headhunters in India. This
trip marked a new beginning for collaborations with the Indian corporate
world and is expected to bring us great success in the future. Also, Careers
Management Centre had a chance to interact with the IE India representative
Karan Gupta and the IE alumni in Mumbai.
En septiembre del 2008, los
miembros del Centro de Carreras Profesionales del IE viajaron a India para
encontrar con las compañías, como un paso hacia desarrollar el mercado de
trabajo en Asia para agarrar las oportunidades crecientes en el área para IE
para los graduados. Maria de Carlos, Maria Fernanda Diaz y Sugata Jain
representaron el IE el Centro de Carreras Profesionales en este viaje y tomaron
adelante el proceso de contactos de edificio y conexiones para poder colocar indio
así como estudiantes internacionales con compañías basadas en India, ambas
compañías indias y globales.
El proceso comenzado
ha identificando la necesidad de crear conexiones para agarrar oportunidades
de contratación en el mercado asiático. Teniendo en cuenta que economías
asiáticas, especialmente China, India y Singapur presencian un crecimiento
significativo, varias compañías europeas Globales quieren entrar o ya ha
entrado estos mercados.
Con este objetivo, ellos
encontraron cerca de 15 compañías incluyendo: MCC (MONDRAGON CORPORACION
COOPERATIVA), una organización del multi-negocio, planeando expandir sus
operaciones en India durante los 15 meses siguientes; las compañías indias como

On 26 September 2008, members of the
Careers Management Centre - Maria De Carlos, Maria Fernanda Diaz and Sugata
Jain got together with the alumni in Mumbai to have an IE ALUMNI DINNER at the
Taj Lands End Hotel.
In this dinner, the alumni got a chance to meet and interact with old friends
and talk about their careers while enjoying a lovely Indian dinner. Everyone
got to share each others´ job hunting processes and share views on the
struggles with the crisis and the opportunities in the Indian economy. They
also discussed about the agenda of the trip of Careers Management Centre.
We hope to have many more events in India in the future.
El 26 de septiembre del 2008, miembros del Centro de Dirección de
Carreras- Maria De Carlos, Maria Fernanda Díaz y Sugata Jain se reunieron con
los alumnos en Mumbai y tuvieron una cena con los alumnos del IE en el Taj
Lands End Hotel.
En esta cena, los alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de reunirse con sus
antiguos amigos y hablaron de sus carreras y la misma vez disfrutando de una
agradable cena india. Todos compartieron
sus experiencias cuando estaban buscando trabajo, y sus puntos de vista acerca
de la crisis y las oportunidades de la economía en India. También hablaron
sobre la agenda del viaje del Centro de Dirección de Carreras.
Esperamos tener más eventos en el futuro en India.
On Thursday, 30 October 2008, the 1985
MBA class met for a dinner at the restaurant Jai Alai. After so many years, we are still together. IE
truly unites us all with our dreams, goals and desires when we began and that
we still continue. Besides, everyone looked very well as you can see in
the picture.
During the dinner, we laughed together telling
stories about our professors and fellow students. We also remembered how
much we worked on our businesses creation projects, such as the Vueling
Company, that was born in our masters, ha, ha... to paper that absorbed it all.
The fact is that the IE made us creative and professional, in some way, it
changed our life.

El jueves 30 de octubre, se reunió la clase del MBA 1985 en una cena en el
restaurante Jai Alai.
Después de tantos años, seguimos juntos. Pasar por el IE une de verdad.
Muchos sueños, muchas metas, muchos deseos cuando empezábamos y aún seguimos
igual. Además todos muy guapos, como se ve en la foto.
Durante la cena, nos reímos muchísimo contando anécdotas de profesores y
compañeros. También recordamos todo lo que trabajamos en nuestros
proyectos de creación de empresas, desde la empresa Vueling, que nació en
nuestro master, ja, ja.. hasta el papel que todo lo absorbía. Y es que el IE
nos hacía creativos y profesionales, en cierto modo, nos cambió la vida.
La próxima reunión será el 21 de noviembre en la Conferencia Anual.
