The IE Net Impact Chapter invites you to get in the holiday spirit and enjoy some hot Glühwein at our very own Holiday Market on the lawn at Serrano 99.

The festivities will start at 15:00 pm on Monday, December 21st.

Please join us for this new IE tradition and enjoy a Christkindlmarket (annual Christmas markets), hot mulled wine, maybe even some Christmas carol singing and tons of fun! Just a few short days before graduation, we hope people from all classes will gather together for some laughs and memories.A fundraiser for Net Impact, we welcome anyone to sell some wares in the Christmas market. This is a wonderful opportunity for graduating students to pass on their books, furniture, sports equipment, etc. to new students. Also, for anyone who is crafty and creative, please feel free to exhibit and sell your creations at the market.

If you would like to participate in the market, please send a short email to

Equity Derivatives Strategies for Corporates

Escrito el 23 noviembre 2009 por Alumni en Functional Area

05-11-2009 Equity and derrivatives 067.jpgOn November 5th the IE Finance Club had the opportunity to organize a conference hosted by Cristina Garcia-Peri on “Equity Derivatives Strategies for Corporates”. Cristina is a former European Head of Corporate Derivatives at J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch and will be joining the IE faculty in 2010.

During the presentation Cristina explained to IE Students different derivatives structures and how Corporations take advantage of structured products to meet their financial goals. It was an incredible opportunity for IE students to learn how several concepts taught in class are applied in real life situations. Cristina’s experience was also enlightening in helping students understand some insights of the banking industry and get a sense of how their future career in finance might look like.
