"How are Leaders Developed"

On December 15th 2008, the IE Organziational Management Club welcomed Saville Consulting and CDG to discuss “How are Leaders Developed”.

Eduardo Vizcaino and María Narvaez, corresponding CEO and Technical Manager for Saville Consulting Spain, explained how rigorous and work relevant measurement tools, have transformed traditional approaches to assessment around the world. Both focused on how companies are achieving outstanding results through new approaches to measuring and exploring the relationship between personal motives, personal talents and the crucial interaction between individuals and their workplace culture. In particular, Saville Consulting shared statistics of different group demographics such as age and gender.

For the second conference, Angel Taboada, Vice-Presindent of CDG, explained the importance of developing leaders for an effecive succesion planning in organizations. As Angel Taboada mentioned, very few organizations begin a third generation of management because of poor succesion planning preparation. Furthermore, shared with us a that not only career path but also technical skills, management skills and personal plans are vital factor to consider for succesion planing.
