On 17 September 2009, London IE Club got the
opportunity to meet Professor Gayle Allard, Professor
of Economic Environment at IE Business School.At this meeting, Professor Allard gave a session titled VALUES & CRISIS.
After the session, the alumni got together for a cocktail and got a chance to talk to Professor Allard, increase their network and catch up with old friends from IE.

On 13 and 19 August 2009, IE Alumni in Australia, gathered in
Sydney and Melbourne, respectively, taking advantage of the visit of Professor Alvaro
Garcia Soto, Executive Director of Global MBA at IE Business School to the
Austral country.
In Sydney, Gary Delaney (Global MBA 2007),
professor of Finance, organized the dinner at the brewery Lowenbräu Keller in
the historical district of The Rocks. Among others also attended the
meeting Alexandre Lagny (IXMBA 2007) and Vishal Shete (candidate
IMBA 2010).
In Melbourne, Jean-Sébastien Valverde (candidate
Global MBA 2009) coordinated the dinner at the restaurant The Meat & Wine
Co. in the CBD. Among others, also attended the meeting Mónica Sagardoy
(MBA 2002), Carolina Vera (MDCM 2003), Ernesto Pérez Hernández
(MDCM 2003), Shumei Lam (candidate MMM 2010) and Jason Andrew
(candidate IXMBA 2010).
Both IE Alumni Clubs will meet again taking advantage
the coming visit of Dirk Hopfl, IE Chief Representative in South East
Asia & Pacific who will represent IE in the upcoming MBA Fairs which will
take place in Sydney (8 Sept), Brisbane (10 Sept), Camberra (15 Sep) and
Melbourne (17 Sep).
El 13 de agosto y el 19
de agosto, se celebraron sendas reuniones de networking de antiguos alumnos del
IE en Sidney y Melbourne,
Australia, aprovechando la visita al país austral del profesor Álvaro García
Soto, director ejecutivo del Global MBA del IE Business School.
La
cena de Sidney fue organizada por Gary Delaney (Global MBA 2007)
y profesor del área de Finanzas y se celebró en la cervecería Lowenbräu Keller
en el histórico barrio de The Rocks, contando además con la asistencia
destacada de Alexandre Lagny (IXMBA 2007) y Vishal Shete
(candidato IMBA 2010).
La cena-reunión de Melbourne fue coordinada por Jean-Sébastien
Valverde (candidato Global MBA 2009) y se celebró en el moderno centro
financiero de la ciudad en el restaurante The Meat & Wine Co., contando
además con la asistencia entre otros de Mónica Sagardoy (MBA 2002), Carolina
Vera (MDCM 2003), Ernesto Pérez Hernández (MDCM 2003), Shumei Lam
(candidata MMM 2010) y Jason Andrew (candidato IXMBA 2010).

On
3 September, took place the second Networking Day with approximately
300 participants, including students of XMBA, IXMBA Bi-Weekly, and all
the management programs alumni.
The
Networking Day, promoted by IXMBA Bi -Weekly alumni, aims to increase
the networking between the alumni which is very necessary to their
professional careers.
On this occasion, a cocktail was held in the garden and alumni exchanged their visiting cards.
IE, through the Alumni Association, will promote these initiatives to promote personal and professional development of all its community members.

El
3 de septiembre se celebró el segundo Networking Day con alrededor de
300 asistentes, incluyendo alumnos del XMBA, IXMBA Bi Weekly y
antiguos alumnos de todos los programas de dirección.El
Networking Day, promovido por los alumnos del IXMBA BW, tiene como
objetivo ampliar el network de los antiguos alumnos tan necesario para
su carrera profesional.
En
esta segunda ocasión se celebró un cocktail en el jardín en el que los
alumnos y antiguos alumnos intercambiaron sus tarjetas.
El IE, a través de la Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos, va a continuar promoviendo estas iniciativas que ayudan para el desarrollo personal y profesional de los miembros de su comunidad.

On 1
September 2009, the India IE Alumni Club got together to have an IE ALUMNI
DINNER at the Baywatch Coffee
Shop, Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, in New
Delhi.
In this
dinner, the alumni got the chance to meet old friends and increase their
networking while enjoying a lovely dinner. The diverse alumni groups also got
to hear each others' opinions and perspectives on various topics, including the
current economic crisis and the Indian economy.
It was
a great opportunity for the Indian alumni to meet each other and we hope to
have many more events in India in the future.
El 1 de septiembre de 2009, los antiguos alumnos del IE en la India tuvieron una cena, IE ALUMNI DINNER, en Baywatch Coffee Shop, Sheraton New Delhi Hotel, en Nueva Delhi.
En la cena, los antiguos alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de
encontrase con sus amigos y desarrollar el networking disfrutando de una cena.
Los antiguos alumnos pudieron intercambiar opiniones y puntos de vista sobre
varios temas como, la crisis económica y la economía en India.
Fue una gran oportunidad para los antiguos alumnos en India para conocerse y esperamos que se organicen más encuentros en el futuro.
On August 20, 2009, the Semana Grande - Aste Nagusia of Bilbao held a meeting of the IE Club Bilbao.
The meeting took place at the prestigious 5 * Hotel Lopez de Haro of the capital, where the participants enjoyed the exhibition of the Russian photographer Richard Bilbao Yacubov, who had the opportunity to share, in a very relaxed atmosphere, views on his life as descendant of a "child of war", as well as on his large work, which encompasses genres as diverse as advertising and fashion photography, taurine, landscape, urban and surreal, among others.
The next IE Bilbao Club meeting will take place on October 08, a conference under the title "Negotiation: The leap from efficacy to efficiency in times of crisis", by Pilar Galeote, Doctor of Law, and Deputy Director of the Center for Negotiation and Mediation IE.
El pasado 20 de agosto un año más, en plena Semana Grande - Aste Nagusia de Bilbao, tuvo lugar un nuevo encuentro del Club Bilbao.
El encuentro se produjo en el prestigioso Hotel 5* López de Haro de la capital, donde pudieron disfrutar de la exposición del fotógrafo ruso Richard Bilbao Yacubov, con el que tuvieron ocasión de intercambiar, en un ambiente muy distendido, impresiones sobre su vida, como descendiente de una "niña de la guerra", así como sobre su nutrida obra, que abarca géneros tan variados como la fotografía publicitaria y de moda, taurina, paisajística, urbana y surrealista, entre otros.
El siguiente encuentro del Club tendrá lugar el próximo 08 de octubre. En esta ocasión se celebrará una conferencia bajo el título "Negociación: El salto de la eficacia a la eficiencia en tiempos de crisis", que correrá a cargo de Pilar Galeote, Doctora en Derecho Mercantil, y Subdirectora del Centro de Negociación y Mediación del IE.
These events and activities are arranged on a trimesterly basis: Trimester 1 from New Year's to Easter, Trimester 2 from Easter to Summer and Trimester 3 from Summer to New Year's.

The Valladolid Alumni met on 30 June 2009 in the Ibermutuamur auditorium. Along with a considerable number of alumni was Juan Carlos Martínez Lázaro, Professor at IE Business School.
The economy expert shared his particular vision about the current economic situation and analyzed what has occurred in these last months, analyzing each world area in detail and predicting their future. The conference ended with a lively debate, and finished in one of the pavement cafés of Valladolid's Paseo Zorrilla.
Los antiguos alumnos de Valladolid se encontraron el 30 de Junio de 2009 en el auditorio de Ibermutuamur. Además de un nutrido número de antiguos alumnos, les acompañó Juan Carlos Martinez Lázaro, profesor de IE Business School.
El conocido experto en temas económicos compartió con los alumnos del IE su visión particular de la actualidad económica y el análisis de los hechos acontecidos en los últimos meses. Examinando detalladamente las distintas zonas del mundo y haciendo previsiones de futuro para cada una de ellas. La sesión terminó con un animado coloquio entre los asistentes, terminando la sesión en una de las terrazas del Paseo Zorrilla de la ciudad.
