Becoming the Defaulting Party

In 2002, the Energy sector suffered a side-kick effect from Enron’s bankruptcy and at the time, Diana Higgins was the Head of Credit of one of the players impacted after the Enron collapse. She will bring us an insight of her experience while her company was “Becoming the Defaulting Party”. Throughout the presentation, the audience will have the opportunity to make the decisions that the management team had to face during 10 critical days.

Diana Higgins

Has been 5 years in Centrica Energy, currently as the European Credit Risk Manager. During her 10-years experience in Commodity Trading she has set up various Credit functions and held managerial and analyst positions in Foundation Energy (today Nexan UK), Williams Energy, Enron and Glencore, and has been Equity Analyst at Santander Investment. Also, Diana built and represents the Los Andes University European Alumni Network. She is a BSc Civil Engineer from Los Andes University (Colombia) and an MBA from Edinburgh University (Scotland).
