Escrito el 29 abril 2009 por Alumni en Functional Area

On Thursday, 16th of April, the Net Impact Club held the first «Making of the Social Responsibility Forum» workshop. Introduced by Professor Gonzalo Garland with a thought-provoking piece on the state of the global economy posing questions on some of the possible causes for its current failure, and followed by a workshop facilitated by Max Oliva, Associate Director of Social Impact Management, the group brainstormed the burning questions that each had on the role of sustainable business in the world today.

Bringing together students from across the IE community, the outcomes of the workshop included questions on business incentives, redefining value, public & private partnerships and sustainable design.

The Social Responsibility Forum will be held in November this year with the theme of of «Redesigning Capitalism: the business case for sustainability», and aims to bring together thought and business leaders to interrogate the subject, and inspire and equip the IE community to be responsible in business. Watch this space for updates from the IE Net Impact Club for the next stage of The Making of the Social Responsibility Forum.
